Company’s “Get Watermarked” campaign highlights document security features in its premium line of legal papers
Agawam, Massachusetts – May 24, 2007 – Southworth Company, producer of Southworth® brand premium business papers and related products including the widest selection of legal-specific cotton bond paper, today announced the company has awarded a trip to Aruba to Ceanne Herndon, an attendee of the Association of Legal Administrators’ 36th Annual Educational Conference and Exposition held April 30th – May 3rd in Las Vegas, NV. The special promotion was part of Southworth’s “Get Watermarked” campaign highlighting the document security features offered in its products geared for the legal market.
Subscribers to Legal Management found the “Get Watermarked” message on the bellyband of their March-April issue of the magazine and brought that bellyband to Southworth’s booth in the exhibit hall at the conference to register for their chance to win the trip to Aruba. Ms. Herndon was among several hundred attendees who had their badge scanned in hopes of being randomly chosen as the grand prize winner.
Ms. Herndon is the office manager of the law firm O’Brien Watters & Davis, LLP in Santa Rosa, California. Southworth showcased their date-coded document security feature in addition to their full line of bond papers specifically made for the legal market at this year’s ALA conference.
Southworth includes formed-in document security date coding in the watermark of every sheet of their cotton bond papers. The special indicators can verify when each sheet was produced, allowing for cross-reference against the date that appears on a document and authentication of each page of that document in the future. The watermark in Southworth bond paper is formed into the paper itself and there is no technology available today that can alter, remove or reproduce it.
“The “Get Watermarked” campaign was extremely successful for Southworth in our continuing efforts to educate legal professionals about the security features available in our bond paper. Hundreds of conference attendees learned how to better protect their firms and clients against fraud by using our high-quality paper products,” said David Krysh, vice president of sales and marketing of Southworth Company. “As a first-time exhibitor at ALA’s annual conference, Southworth found tremendous value in the opportunity to spend time with attendees and we look forward to participating in future association events.”
