Agawam, Massachusetts (August 30, 2007). -Southworth announced that David Travis has joined the company as Vice President Sales, Southworth Brands, reporting to David Krysh.
"David is a serious business builder who brings great vision to Southworth," said Krysh, Southworth's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "He is a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of extensive experience generating highly lucrative sales in the retail and commercial office products sales channels."
At his prior post as VP of Sales at Storex Industries in Montreal, Travis led a $40M sales team responsible for new product development and P&L responsibility for all accounts including Staples, Office Depot and Target. He successfully tackled industry giants like Rubbermaid replacing them in the plastic storage category at Target.
Prior to joining Storex, Travis was managing partner and VP of Sales with Dr. Byte in Boca Raton where he exceeded his aggressive start-up sales plan from zero sales to $12M in less than four years, placing 140 new items into national distribution, and establishing significant vendor numbers at Office Depot, Staples, OfficeMax, Wal-Mart, Target and other national chains.
Travis graduated cum laude from Georgia Tech in 1986 and was selected as a Georgia Tech Representative to Middle East Symposium hosted by former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.
